Captain of the team Peter Kleščík had a positive feelings after the match. He was satisfied not only with three points, but also with whole team performance. But he doesn’t want to stay complacent. „We need to stay on the right wave of positive results. What satisfied me most, was the second clean sheet. We can’t celebrate just yet. Six important and difficult challenges are ahead of us. We talked something out before the match and we stuck to that. Win was, in the meaning of our position in the table, very important. If we had not succeeded, Podbrezova would have made a notable lead,“ said Kleščík after the final whistle.
Native from Čadca took responsibility over whole 90 minutes, when he directed the performance of the team from his defensive post. He was able to cover dangerous set pieces and centers. „We have prepared for a few days. We knew about their strengths and weaknesses. In Zlate Moravce we had a few problems throughout the game, that’s why we changed our tactic to individual defending. Personally, I tried my best on the pitch.“
Another important man of the match was Igor Šemrinec, who saved the penalty in the end of the match and kept a second clean sheet. „I didn’t know where Podio wanted to kick the ball until last moment. I’m glad, that i was able to help my team,“ enjoyed the win 29 year old goalkeeper.
Second clean sheet in last seven days satisfies him. The more so he didn’t have so many of them this season. „Winning streak is more important for the team than my clean sheets. Six difficult home matches are ahead of us. I believe, that fans will help us a lot in winning them. We’ll need them. Clean sheets would be just a cherry on the cake,“ smiled always positive Šemrinec.
