The defender of the title Slovan Bratislava, this year also with attendance of Valencia and WHU

The third edition of april tournament „This is my sen“(TiMS) designed for players in category U11 has the best line-up so far in its short history. Stadium situated on Sihoť will welcome sixteen teams from seven countries. Despite its short history, the tournament has become the best participated tournament for players aged under eleven years in Slovakia.

The biggest attractions of TiMS tournament are Valencia and WHU. The Valencia „Cantera“ academy is one of the most successful football academies on the Iberian Peninsula. Their most popular homegrown players are Jordi Alba, Juan Bernat, Paco Alcácer, David Silva, David Albelda, Raúl Albiol, José Molina, Gaizka Mendieta and many more players performing in highest European competitions. The WHU academy is one of the most successful football academies on British Islands. Their most popular homegrown players are Bobby Moore, Michael Carrick, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole, Kieran Richardson, Jermain Defoe alebo Glen Johnson.

Ferencváros from Budapest attended both editions of TiMS tournament and always belonged to teams who ended on high ranks. Last year they ended sixth and two years ago they finished on fourth position. The most popular and most famous Hungarian club didn´t reach the medals so far. Looking for the Ukrainian Olimp Uzhorod in the highest competition of our eastern neighbours is pointless, because this club is specifically a youth club. However, they gradually gain more and more respect in their country.

The youth team of Slavia Praha is, as well as other youth teams of the „stapled“, a member of the absolute czech top. Team U11 is surely proud of winning over teams such as Sporting Gijón, Real Sociedad, Atletic Bilbao, FC Copenhagen, Hajduk Split, Inter Milano or Munich 1860. Team made of players born in 2006 and younger occupied third place on the E.ON tournament, where only Slavia Praha and Borussia Dortmund had beaten them. On the december Fair Play Cup they lost the finals after penalty shootout against Hajduk Split. 1. FC Slovacko attended both editions of TiMS tournament. They ranked 8th and 12th. Dukla Praha will have a premiere in Trencin. So far the best results, from the Chech teams, achieved Sigma Olomouc, whose players ended 6th and 5th. All the Czech teams will surely want to best their rankings from previous editions.

Poland has also its representants on TiMS 2017. Our northern neighbours will be represented by Wisla Krakow and Zaglebie Lubin. Nowadays one year older boys from Wisla ended last year on 8th position. Zaglebie would surely want to defend their third position from the last year or improve. The youth base of Wisla Krakow is looking for rivals not only amongst the Polish top, but also attends leading tournaments all over the Europe. It is an appreciation for our club, that they will also attend TiMS 2017. Wisla has grown tens of Polish representants. Amongst them belongs also Maciej Žurawski, Arkadiusz Glowacki or Pawel Brožek.

Also Zaglebie has one of the most successful and progressive academies in Poland. It belongs to so called great Poland four, where you can find, besides already mentioned Wisla, Lech Poznaň and Legia Varšava. Philosophy of the Lubian academy is characterized by new approaches in development of the individual technique of a player. The team of Zaglebie aged under 11 has already played agains the teams like Inter Milano, AS Rome, FC Sevilla, Manchester City, Everton, Crystal Palace, FC Liverpool or Besiktas Istanbul.

Both previous tournaments won Slovakian teams. The premiere edition of TiMS won AS Trencin in competition with Ajax Amsterdam, Ferencvaros Budapest, Slavia Prague and other major football brands. Last year it were the boys from Slovan Bratislava who cheered after winning the tournament ahead of already mentioned WHU, Zaglebie Lubin and AS Trenčín.
