The team is strong physically and mentally, claims Paur

The fight for the European competitions is coming to an end. Unbreakable will and lust for winning were shown on the pitch on Sihoť. The team led by Martin Ševela won against Žilina (2:1) despite that we had to turn over the match like we did against Ružomberok.

The Friday evening brought a quality football, which the fans are used to in the matches against Žilina. Newborn champions from Žilina have fallen under Čak´s castle and the points stood home. „For us, this victory is enormous and important. We were sufficiently aggresive, we knew what we wanted to play and we obeyed the instructions from coaches. The achievement of beating the champions is valuable. It has pumped our morale up for the upcoming matches,“ said midfielder Jakub Paur.

The native from Višňové near Žilina is a fosterling of MŠK and matches against „šošons“ are special to him. Jakub showed his character in the match. By the equalizing goal he wasn´t greedy and he passed the ball to a better standing teammate. „Great work was done by Desley Ubbink. During the flight of the ball I noticed Rangelo moving into a great position for scoring. Not even for a moment did I waver and passed the ball to him. There is a saying: Only friend will pass back. Next time it´s my turn,“ added with a smile Paur.

It is the third match when we were the team who had conceded the first goal. In the end it was not important. Thanks to our unbreakable will and lust for three points we were able to win. „Every single one of us knows, what we want to achieve. We won´t abandon our goals. The team is strong physically and mentally. It´s upon us that we need to fulfill our duties,“ ended the interview Jakub.
