Commentary

Our start to the match was full of confidence. Fifteen minutes were marked when Bala had a good chance to score but his shot flew just wide. One minute later the same player ran past the defenders towards the goal but first he saw his shot push away by Hruska and then his following rebound shot struck the crossbar. In 34th minute Kalu headed over the bar. Two minutes later Bala had a third chance to score but once again Hruska denied him. In the stoppage time Kolar ran into the penalty box, dribbled past Klescik and scored with a shot to the far post – 1:0.

During the opening minutes of the second half we had few long-range efforts but none of them was successful. In 56th minute Janco’s shot was saved by Hruska. In 64th minute Prekop missed the goal with a shot from inside the area. Throughout the match we were dominant, possessing the ball in the attacking zone but the host’s defense did not allow us to create any clear openings and when neither Kalu’s effort nor Lawrence’s effort found the net it was clear that the home side would take three points from this match.
