AS Trenčín played their first official preparatory match before the upcoming season. The match in Vydrany near Dunajská Streda against DAC ended tied 3-3 (1-2). Coach Ivan Galád used two, completely different teams. Each of them played one half.
FK DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda - AS Trenčín 3-3 (1-2)
Goals: Dragičevič 3 – Šebek 2, Chanti
AS (first half): D. Rožník – Ekhardt, Szórád, Cs. Horváth, Peciar – Kasálek – Hlohovský, Gergel, Lukšík – Depetris, Šebek
AS (second half): Šimlaštík – Argis, Godál, Stelios, Kukumberg – Báez – Čögley, Gergel, Chanti – M. Rožník, Križko
It was a game of two different halves. Team AS Trenčín was better in the first one, whereas Dunajská Streda dominated in the second 45 minutes. A chance to show their qualities had, besides the core players of AS, also the players being in their trial period. Players of AS Trenčín were active from the very beginnig. Especially the centers of Hlohovský as well as the activity of Deptris and Šebek were dangerous for the goal of the home keeper Novota. In spite, the home players took the lead on 13 minutes by Dragičevič.
Šebek’s performance after his long-lasting injury was remarkable. He rushed alone on Novota shortly after the opening goal of the home team, but needed more patience to score. The young player however recovered everything by scoring twice to reverse the score of the first half. Similarly to winter, Šebek scored the first two goals of AS in the preparatory period.
The lineup of AS Trenčín completely changed after the break. Gergel was the only one who stayed in. It was evident that a lot of players played together for the first time. Mainly defense had troubles in the beginning – after the first seven minutes Dunajská Streda took the lead again when Dragičevič crowned his hat trick. The second AS lineup was clearly lagging behind the first one. Chanti was probably the only player meeting coach’s expectations. His promising performance was rewarded on 89 minutes when he equalized by a left-foot cross shot from 20 meters (3-3).
The following preparatory game will take place on Wednesday in Senec against the home team SFM. Ivan Galad’s team is then traveling to Zlaté Moravce. After the game against ViOn on Friday morning, they are going to move to Nymburk for a two-week training camp, part of which will be the games against Mladá Boleslav and Viktoria Žižkov
