After few months loan in Malta, Lukas Duriska returned to AS Trencin squad. Even though the fifth team of Malta league was interested in extending of loan, 21-years old midfielder decided to return to Slovakia.
„I could have chosed from two options and I was thinking of it for a long time. I discussed it with my family and AS Trencin. Finally, I decided to come back. I had a chance to play and take responsiblity but I want to move ahead. I will fight for a place in AS squad,“ said after arrival Duriska.
He appeared in 13 matches and scored one goal. Lukas was loaned out after relegation from European Leauge, where he played few minutes against IFK Goteborg. After return, he feels he his at home. „It seemed to me like I left only week ago. There are few new faces in dressing room, but I did not notice I was out for longer period.“
Before leaving Slovakia he used to play on a position of defensive midfielder or central defender. During his stay in Malta, however, he got a chance to play as a offensive midfielder. „I felt quite good. It was a new experience for me. I think I did a good job because our coach was satisfied with my performance,“ said Duriska and added: „I personally wonder how much the loan has helped me. I think I will realize it very fast. Especially matches against Birkirkara and Valletta were really difficult.“
