Peter Dubovsky Award for Bero, coach Sevela on the second position behind Kozak

Peter Dubovsky award for the best U21 player of Slovakia won Matus Bero. The key player of AS Trencin beat last year winner Ondrej Duda. Our former player Stanislav Lobotka finished on the third position. Bero, together with Viktor Pecovsky, became also the best player of Fortuna League 2015. Gino van Kessel finished fourth.

„This award means really a lot to me. It is a reward for my performances. If I want to be even more successful, I need to continue in this. Mr. Dubovsky gave me advice. I still need to work hard. I know a lot about Peter Dubovsky, my parents told me about him and always said that is good role model for me,“ said Bero.

The best football player of Slovakia for year 2015 became Marek Hamsik. He beat Martin Skrtel, who entered into big football just right from our club. Stanislav Lobotka finished on 13th position, Bero on 14th place.

The best Slovak coach became national team coach Jan Kozak. Martin Sevela, who led AS Trencin to victory in Fortuna League and Slovnaft Cup, was on the second position.

„The prize always delights but now I am already thinking about European Championship. When talking about the award, I had really tough competitors or better said one competitor Martin Sevela. He won double with Trencin and that is the most he could reach. The ones who voted probably preferred progress to Euro 2016 and that was decisive,“ said coach Kozak.
