The match of the round 11 of the First League Trenčín versus Dunajská Streda ‘B’ brought a first class 90-minute show. The home players virtually ruined their competitor. Ivan Galád’s team played very actively and fought hard the entire game. Their excellent performance continued in spite of the rising score. The result of their effort was an incredible and well-earned victory. It was an astonishing and memorable football experience which was also appreciated by the fans shouting: “This has not happened here yet!”
The goal machine started on 11 minutes. Hasancik was not able to stop Hlohovský’s shot from 25 meters. 6 minutes later, the score was 2-0 when Depetris scored his first goal of the game after Hlohovský’s corner kick. Depetris then got into three more good opportunities, but his first attempt was stopped by the visiting goalie, the second one after Hlohovský’s center was wide as well as the third after another activity of Hlohovský. His second goal finally came on 29 minutes after the brightest moment of the game. Hlohovský’s corner kick was volleyed by Gergel from the border of the penalty area. The ball hit the post but the rebound got to Depetris who scored conveniently. On 42 minutes, Kleščík created an excellent opportunity for one of the best players of the game Hlohovský who utilized his brilliant pass. Also the last goal moment of the first half came after Kleščík’s activity. This time, his precise pass from the own half found Peciar who masterly converted his chance – 5-0.
During the break, coach Galád appealed to his players to not repeat the second half from the game against the ‘B’ team of Ružomberok when the half’s result was the same but the game finally ended 5-2. His worries vanished on 58 minutes. The well-working Knapp created a chance for Hlohovský and the U21 national player completed his hat trick. Hlohovský cooperated on perhaps everything important that happened in the match. His center into the penalty area on 64 minutes found Knapp who scored with a help of one of the defenders of DAC. The goal number eight was a real ‘delicacy’. Depetris’s shot from a long distance ended in the upper corner of the net. The hat trick was however not enough for Deptris. On 84 minutes, he got the ball from Lukšík after a nice combination and shot his fourth game’s goal. The author of the jubilee tenth goal was Gergel who scored on 87 minutes.
