He had his premiere in the Fortuna league in the middle of September against Žilina. He started for the first time in the starting eleven during the weekend against Podbrezová and he also scored his first goal. „In the first place I want to say thanks to God, who stands always beside me,“ said at the beginning Azango and continued: „We could be satisfied after the match. We played really well.“

The twenty years old youngster has a big motivation to achieve something great in football and he directs his life mainly towards this goal. „I’m not satisfied, if I have to get on the pitch from a bench. I think all players have it the same. We all want to be in the starting eleven. The decision is up to coaches. If I get to play only for a few minutes, I’m grateful. I’m giving it 100 percent in every single moment. Very important thing is, how I work on trainings. That is the only way to line-up.“

Azango is happy in Trenčín. „There is a great atmosphere in the cabin. The team spirit works great. Also the fans delighted me. The guys from Nigeria told me, that thay accepted them very quickly. I do believe, that my performance on the pitch will convince them also,“ said Azango.

Rivalry on the wings is still growing and the newest incomer also adds to this competition. „If you want to grow, you need a challenge. For me it’s the fight for the place on the pitch. There are great players. Beridze, Kvocera and Hilary are a big competition, but that’s the only way to get better. Later it will be even harder. I want to get through this year first. I’m working on 100 percent on trainings. I believe, that it’ll pay off,“ added the young Nigerian.
