Several players of AS Trenčín are playing in the Slovak national teams these days. Csaba Horváth currently playing in ADO Den Haag, Netherlands is going through his premiere in the senior national team. He did not play against the Czech Republic, but his chance may still come in Northern Ireland on Wednesday. It is another key World Cup qualifier for the squad of Vladimír Weiss in Belfast.
Also the U21 national team went through the first part of the current qualifier meeting. Boris Kitka’s team played a great game in Novi Sad against the home Serbia. Roman Gergel’s excellent individual performance underlined by a goal contributed to the victory 2:1. Another nominee from Trenčín Peter Kleščík did not get into the lineup. Slovak juniors would like to continue in their winning campaign in the home game against Cyprus taking place in Senica on Wednesday.
The U17 national team is having a training camp from September 7 till September 10. Its part will be prep games against Spartak and Lokomotíva Trnava. Players from Trenčín are not missing in the team of Anton Valovič. Its members are Tomáš Malec and Ivan Hladík.
Three more Trenčín players are going to participate in the next week’s meeting of the U16 national team. Róbert Mazáň, Michal Habánek, and Matej Vozár are available to the coach for the friendly game against Austria.
