The starting lineup of AS against Michalovce was the same as in Ružomberok. After the two clear wins 4:0 Trenčín also succeeded to win against the rival from the East of Slovakia and again without a goal conceded. The upcoming program of AS is the cup game in Moravany (Wednesday, 3.30 pm) and the league duel in Liptovský Mikuláš (Saturday, 3.00 pm).
The game of the rivals neighboring in the league standings started quite slackly. Neither of the teams was able to show a consistent offensive effort until the 15th minute when the well playing Ševela found Depetris in the penalty area, but the goalkeeper of the guests saved. Right afterwards neither Ševela himself standing in a good position was able to score. After almost half an hour Salinas sent another good pass to Depetris. Pilár saved again. Several seconds later Trenčín managed a signal when Horváth’s free kick found Depetris again and the Argentinean forward opened the score by a hard shot. At the end of the first half Godál sent a long pass to Kubík, but his lob was batted by the goalkeeper.
A similar situation happened also at the beginning of the second half. Knapp’s vertical offered another excellent chance to Depetris, but his lob went high. An interesting situation happened in the 54th minute when Ševela was fouled in the penalty area. Depetris immediately took the ball and scored, but the whistle of the referee ordering penalty kick came in the same moment so the goal could not be allowed. Fortunately, Horváth managed the penalty kick and set the final result of the game.
