The whole team of AS Trenčín moves to the modern sport complex in Uherské Hradiště on Monday noon. It’s going to be another training portion for the players before the approaching spring league games. The capstone of their stay will be a friendly game against Opava (Czech Republic).
The training camp in the nearby Czech town is going to take five days altogether. It’s taken a team effort to prepare the camp. The organizational part has mostly been handled by the team manager Drahoš Bočák who made sure things are alright with transport, training and regeneration facilities, lodging, and food. “I have prepared the training program in cooperation with Roman Hodál and Leo van Veen,“ Adrián Guľa described the teamwork.
A lot of teams trying to find attractive rivals for their preps are travelling to warmer areas. Trenčín have however only scheduled one game in Morava. “It’s not going to be about matches. We want to focus on the fine-tuning of some details. The biggest emphasis will be put on avoiding individual mistakes. Of course, there will also be some team activities. Their goal will be to improve cooperation of all formations both inside and among them,“ the ambitious coach revealed some agenda points from a carefully prepared training program.
There are several juniors in the player’s list for the camp. Some names such as Tomáš Malec appeared in it in a very last moment. The talented teenager celebrated his 17th birthday only a few days ago. His talent made the coaches decide about his nomination. “He’s a very interesting forward. I believe he is capable of increasing the competition at this post after Depetris’s departure. I want to give him a chance. I will be observing him carefully during the whole week. It’s only up to him if he finally appears in the spring league-game lineups,“ the coach thinks about the chances of the almost two-meter tall attacker.
