The Nigerian forward Fanendo Adi leaves AS Trenčín. During the weekend, based on the agreement of the clubs, he signed a three and a half year contract with Metallurg Doneck, Ukraine. He joined immediately his new team being on the training camp in Turkey.
“We are happy about the transfer. Adi has shown a substantially improved performance in the recent time so his departure is quite logical. It can also be an impulse for the other players,“ said the general manager of AS Róbert Rybníček and added, “We can continue working on several projects. One of the most important is the youth academy in Trenčianske Stankovce.“
Metallurg Doneck is currently the tenth team of the Ukrainian league. Besides a Nigerian defender, there are players from Portugal, Brazil, Bulgaria, Serbia, Zimbabwe, and Romania in the team.
