AS Trenčín Takes Training Camp to the Netherlands

The Highlight: Duel Against Ajax Amsterdam

During the winter break, most teams head towards the warm southern sun. AS Trenčín is going to enrich the never-ending preparation with a 12-day trip to the Netherlands. The flight from Vienna is planned for January 24, with the expedition returning on February 5. The highlight of the training camp and the whole break will certainly be the entertaining duel between Trenčín and Ajax Amsterdam on the last day of January. Tschen la Ling, the owner of AS, wore the jersey of this most famous Dutch club for seven years. “The reserve completed by the members of the wider cadre of the first team will start for Ajax,” revealed the general manager of AS Róbert Rybníček. Three days after the introductory match, the Trenčín players will measure their powers against amateur club V.S.V. Tonegido. The team is formed from players of La Ling’s academy. “There are many talented young men on the team. At the beginning of January they even drew with ADO Den Haag,” Dutch coach Ton Jenner pointed out, making the power of the rival clear. Team manager Matúš Beňovič presented the details of the Dutch program: “Except for the days when we play matches, we will be practicing hard. There will be a tough two-phase practive. To make the program richer, we prepared a trip to the ocean together with a dinner or a visit to a movie theatre.”
