Over the last weekend three teams of AS Trencin successfully introduced at the well-engaged tournament of remembering Peter Dubovsky. Team under nine year placed in the first place, team under eight year placed on the second place and team under ten year placed on the fourth place in the internationally participated tournament.
U9 led by the coach Roman Rydzi easily won with home players Slovan Bratislava (5:2). Boys confirmed great condition also in the match against Zbrojovka Brno when won with three goal difference (4:1). After a lunch break we beat Zilina (4:0). In a dramatic fight against Sparta Prague, which until now no one beat, boys changed negative situation 0:1 and got our team in to the lead 2:1. Victory over a team from the capital of the Czech Republic meant securing of tournament leadership. In the final match against ETO Györ again showed a great strength when turned badly evolving match in our side (6:4). The success of the team underlined individual awards for Arthur Gajdos, who became the best player and scorer (15) of the tournament.
Team U8 began tournament with victory over Slovan Bratislava (3:1). Then beat Zbrojovka Brno (5:2) and MSK Zilina (4:1). Then came the lost with sovereign Sparta Praha (1:7). In the final tournament performance our boys confirmed second place while draw with ETO Györ (2:2). Team under ten year drew twice (Slovan Bratislava 1:1, Zbrojovka Brno1:1) and subsequently lost the duel with Zilina. With two successive victories over Slavia Prague (7:1) and ETO Györ (4:2) climbed to the final fourth place. U10 tournament top scorer became with six goals Lucas Demitra.
