Another young footballer of AS Trencin with a new long-term contract became Daniel Bednarik. Native of Piestany signed the contract with the club for three and a half years.

After the injuries of Peter Klescik fought for a place in the basic configuration. Nineteen year old center-back, finally got a chance during the spring part and twice got in to the team of the week nominated by daily newspaper Sport. It is first professional contract for student of Comenius University. "This is another important step in my career. I am pleased that the club showed confidence and counts with me for a long time," said Bednarik after signing the contract.

Member of representative U19 was happy with the length of the contract offer. "I know how it works in Trencin. Club operates differently than other teams in Slovakia. I had no reason to think about a contract for a shorter period of the time," said Bednarik.

He helped the team in the spring to run for the Europa league and at the end of the season helped the team under the nineteen years to fight Slovakia-Czech Republic Cup. "One year ago I did not even thing how great will my performance be. I do not have plans for future. I try to concentrate on the each training and I see what time will bring," added for the end "Bedo".
