Commentary

The visitors had the first chance to score when Pazdan’s header from corner kick threatened our goal. We immediately answered by Lawrence’s effort which Malarz was able to punch away. In 8th minute Nikolic had a perfect chance to score but he could not properly orient himself face to face to Chovan and missed the goal. We were playing attractive football but our effort ended up in front of the penalty area. In 30th minute Holubek tried to score from a long distance but Malarz parried the ball over the bar.

During the half time break it started to rain. It was getting harder and harder to continue in short passing style of play for both teams. In 52nd minute Sulek crossed the ball to the penalty area where Bero found the ball in promising position but his shot was saved by Malarz. Few minutes later Bero found himself even in a better chance after Kalu’s cross to the penalty area but once again he was denied by Malarz. Subsequently Kucharczyk dribbled pass Sulek and Nikolic had no problem to score a goal – 0:1. In the rest of the match Legia focused on defending one goal advantage and despite our enormous effort to score a goal they eventually succeed and we are one goal down ahead of the match in Warsaw next week.
