Experienced midfielder Branislav Jašurek did not play in friendly games at all. His lasting ankle injury didn’t allow him to play since autumn game in Trnava. „First x-ray was negative. No fracture, just hard kicked. After a month’s rest I started to train but it simple did not work. I felt constant ,“ said former youth national team member.
Immediately after first training in second part of season, second examination round took place. „Our General Manager, Robert Rybnicek, arranged visit to orthopedic department in Trencin’s Faculty Hospital. Doctor Karol Gottschal took care of me. Secondx-ray revealed fructured bone below ankle. I recieved one month STOP of any activities,“ goes on Jasurek
After a monthly absence, Jasurek could start training by the beginning of next week. „Prescribed monthly absence will expire on the 19th of February. On this date I should be a “full” part of team again. I believe everything is going to be all right,” hopes former Zilina player and goes on: “Today I feel more like a RAMBO. Physically I should be ready. I miss game fitness, though. On a bike and in the pool it is impossible to gain.”
Unsuccessfull autumn brought an avalanche. More experienced players were exchanged with talented youth. How did it effect the team? „We were a good bunch of lads. However, team spirit is shown on the field where we have to fight for each other. There we have to show that we really can help each other. We’ll see, but friendly games showed, it could work. I liked what I saw,“ sums up Jasurek.
